About

Hailing from a rugged northern landscape in Alberta, Canada, I belong to that peculiar segment of the population: the first batch of millennials (1981).

At age 19, my wife and I decided not to let school get in the way of our education. In the time it takes to earn a master’s degree, we were married and had three sons and a daughter. If that life path sounds unusual to you, you probably didn’t grow up in a small rural town.

Now in our third decade of marriage, my wife and I have raised and home-educated our four grown(ish) children. Our family includes a loyal dog, Rossi, and a temperamental outdoor cat, Notley, who roams the wilds.

By day, I lead a talented team of commercial real estate professionals leasing developments across Western Canada, primarily in Calgary, Edmonton, the Lower Mainland BC, Red Deer, and Winnipeg.

When not immersed in family and the world of real estate, my heart belongs to the Adventure Club. This passion demands a commitment to scheduled adventures that keep us conditioned for alpine, rock, and ice climbing, mountain biking, and backcountry skiing. These journeys test our mettle and feed our spirits.

I started this website to think in public about my varied interests, ranging from business and management to the nitty-gritty of non-profits and leadership. I also tread into homeschooling, family life, religion, faith lost and faith found, theology, psychology, kinesiology, fitness, nutrition, and the endless adventures found in the Rockies.

I would be honored to have you join this conversation and help refine my thinking. Please enter your email in the box below to take my newsletter for a test drive.
